Job summary
We are looking for a hardworking expert Product Developer to join our SCRUM Team/Centre of Excellence and deliver our mission to delight customers using a world leading Service Management Platform (ServiceNow).
A dynamic professional who can provide technical leadership in the development and expansion of our ServiceNow platform, and who can also share insights, experiences and standard processes to mentor and support the growth of the whole delivery team.
Duties and responsibilities
You are keen to work in an Agile SCRUM squad who self-organise their work, with mentorship from the Product Owner and Solution Architect.
You will be able to make good design choices to ensure that this new platform is built in a stable and scalable way, whilst also delighting our customers with innovative features that deliver outstanding outcomes. We are looking for an excellent communicator, problem-solver, and a great teammate who is proactive in sharing their experiences and skills with colleagues and can collaborate effectively across the department and beyond.
This role will focus on supporting and enhancing our current offerings of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Customer Service Management (CSM) for our Customers across the College in line with our Roadmap.
Essential requirements
Demonstratable experience of ServiceNow development
Experience in designing, creating, delivering, supporting and leading the following services: ITSM, CSM and Service Portal (Angular JS)
Knowledge of CSDM
ServiceNow Certification: Certified Application Developer and Certified System Administrator
Workflow and Automation using Flow Designer and Integration Hub
Automated Testing Framework (ATF) Experience
SCRUM working practice/knowledge
A solid understanding and demonstrated experience using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript/AJAX
3rd party integration experience with the ServiceNow platform, REST/SOAP, APIs, SSO
You need to:
Be comfortable working in partnership with customers, understanding required business outcomes and configuring the system while using standard processes non customised solutions that prevent technical debt
Be able to demonstrate that you can work well in a self-organising Agile team that abides by the principles of the Agile Manifesto
Be happy and able to share your skills by mentoring and knowledge share with other developers in ServiceNow

Be comfortable speaking directly to our customers and users whenever required, so that we can make sure we are building the right thing in the right way
